Every year I volunteer as a committee member for the Special Olympics, which is a very big organization. For those who are not familiar with the Special Olympics, it a large non-profit charity dedicated to changing the lives of people with intellectual disabilities through sports training and competition. The 'Pier del Sol' event is held every year on the famous Santa Monica pier, and is Special Olympics' largest fundraising event.

My Non-Profit For Underprivileged Kids

My friend and I started Onelov.org because we saw the healing benefits art has to offer to children. When kids are focused on creativity they are less likely to get into trouble by joining gangs and being on the streets. They have an outlet to express themselves. It has also been proven that art increases academic aptitude as well, helping kids excel in classes. But with the economy the way it is, the arts is the first to go. Schools no longer have a budget for art or art programs and so kids suffer from the lack of creative expression. Below is our mission statement.

What I love about FanBox is that we have the ability to give back to worthy charities and organizations we are passionate about. Most people don't know that I've been doing philanthropy work for many years now. I have worked with big and small organizations. One of my biggest passions in life is my philanthropy work, knowing that I am making a difference in this world.
