Wow! What wonderful day

The infection called enthusiasm.

This is the magical ingrediant that makes us productive. You can call it energy, vigor, dynamism whatever. But it is the energy.

This in turn is the direct of shoot of your confidence in yourself.

Many of us feel our energy levels are low so where do we summon this  energy from. Well here is an exercise try it out for a month and give me a feed back.

Pick something that you really care about,it should be something that really excites you. Even to keep going once the intial romance wears off. Remember the last 15% of the race is crucial.for thats where fatigue sets in.

Now create a finish line, say its your book create a date to meet the publisher.  In addition to your writing it would involve finding a publisher, an editor and maybe even a publicist, basically all the support system. This creates a momentum, a sense of excitement, a sense of anticipation thats what kicks up the enthusiasm.

There will be times when you go down, then you need a pep up charger, sometimes a cup of coffee is fine, but mostly staleness is recharged with fresh energy, interact with a friend who can energize you, i talk to my colleague Dr.Jyothi Rao,  when she is down I hope I can charge her up.

Get in touch with your inner child. Lousie Hay actually swings,  from a tree it is the child like anticipation, wonderment of life that keeps us from being cynical or jadded or falling back in our journey.

When there is a slip for gods sake don’t beat yourself, just look at the mirror and say”Buddy your the best, its so many miles to Babylon”and we get right back

What qualities do I value the most in friends?

If we are talking about the facebook kinds, then the parameter would be school, sorority, in short anyone who enters my space without disturbing my harmony. I guess that is the verb form of the word, friended?

A word of before 900 Middle English origin, friend, frend Old English freondà friend, lover, relative (i.e. old Saxon friund, old high German fruint, gothic frijonds) original a present participle of freogan, cognate with Gothic frijon to love.

My friends and what I value about them

POSITIVE ATTITUDE...

The panacea of all non-success.  Somehow just doing the positivity exercise or trying affirmations did not really give me the success rate either personally or any of my mentee’s

It was only at the Landmark Education Forum did I figure where the lacunae was, we tend to pump in positive without flushing the negative that’s on one side, on the other we do not really open the necessary windows to let in the breeze.

Affirmations are fortifying thoughts that help you but it’s the action that helps us through.

It’s our actions that get us the result, and we act only when we are confident.

Each time there is a breakdown we see why, forget the gateman who forgot to man the gate and let the cows in, we have to work at two levels

·        Symptomatic or damage control. That tides over immediately

·        Resolve the cause that is a permanent solution.

Being pushy and aggressive could be annoying, what is more lasting is inspiring confidence, and asserting without being aggressive. This helps you conserve your energy to your betterment. Actually confidence is built with three things

·        Widened outlook

·        Re-invention

Three things I would like do before I kick the bucket,

·        make sure that there is bucket

·        The bucket is empty

·        Ensure that I don't hurt myself when I kick.

But guess that’s not Plinky wants.

Tatoo taboo

If tattoos only lasted for one year, would I want one?

What If they lasted for one month?umlet me think

Tattoo the pristine flesh
What is permanent anyway?
This ink only lasts 'til the grave,
Skin and ideas decompose
That which we did compose.
~Corri Alius

Show me a man with a tattoo and I'll show you a man with an interesting past. --JACK LONDON, 1883

That’s what I thought tattoo-ing was all about, but professional training insists that I check my options before I put down my options.  That brings me to what is a tattoo?

The dictionary says it is:

·         A signal sounded on a drum or bugle to summon soldiers or sailors to their quarters at night.

·         A display of military exercises offered as evening entertainment
