سائبر کرائم کی روک تھام میں مصروف فیڈرل انویسٹی گیشن اتھارٹی (ایف آئی اے) کا شعبہ نیشنل رسپانس سینٹر (این آر تھری سی) کراچی، لاہور اور اسلام آباد میں محدود وسائل کے باوجود کامیابی کی منزلیں طے کر رہا ہے۔ 2007ء میں پیپکو آرڈیننس کے تحت قائم یہ قانون 2009ء میں ختم کردیا گیا، جس کے بعد سائبر کرائم کے مقدمات ای ٹی او قانون کے تحت درج ہو رہے ہیں۔ سائبر کرائم میں کوئی بھی الیکٹرونک ڈیوائس استعمال کر کے کسی کا ڈیٹاایکسس کرنا، کریڈٹ کارڈ آن لائن فروڈ، فیس بک اور یو ٹیوب پر کسی کی تصاویر لگانا، کسی کا ڈیٹا چوری یا خراب کرنا، جعلی ٹیلی کوم کمپنیز شامل ہیں۔ ان جرائم کا پتہ لگانے کے لئے ڈیٹا امریکہ بھیجا جاتا ہے، کراچی میں اس وقت 150 سے زائد جعلی ٹیلی کوم کمپنیز کا م کر رہی ہیں، جعلسازوں نے وفاقی وزیر داخلہ کے نام سے بھی موبائل سم جاری کی۔ این آر تھری سی نے سال 2011ء میں 15 جبکہ 2012ء میں وزیر داخلہ کی جعلی سم سمیت 4 کیس رجسٹرڈ کیے۔
