Couldn't agree more jess, the time for protesting is over, the time to change our spending habits is nigh. This is not something the government can or wants to fix. Only "We The People" can bring about a change in this economic climate.
Wall street was only the beginning. I agree totally with this post as I'm also part of the 99%. there are some things very blatant like Corporate greed, but there is a lot of insidious things going on like those corps that advise corporate ex's pay. the Koch Brothers are promient in Wisconsin and big contributors to Scott Walkers political coffers. All this craziness sweeping the country has been planned in Washington Republican offices. they have sat back and waited patiently for the climate to change in this country. They get tax payers to worry about the 1% of the population who is extremely poor. Some poor person might get a loaf of bread that he didn't work for, while they've got their hand in your back pocket stealing your resources, such as in our state where a partisan vote passed a {republican) law and signed by the gov to allow our state owned electric plants around the state to be sold without bid to people who are interested, such as the Koch Brothers. By the time we wake up and smell the roses, the garden will be picked clean, and no longer able to sustain life. I myself being 69 yrs old can no longer get out there with the "occupiers" but I support them 100%
I take it that you will also support Ron Paul?
Thanks for Sharing, Nice article, but being not good at finance, No comments
Ron Paul is a republican. We don`t just want the easy, hope change stuff, The challenger promises change, the incumbent promises more defense. There is a chance here to make capitalism a better system, rather than just propping it up again. Free market capitalism is as dead as communism. Time to move on. Don`t hang on to our broken system just because it is the only thing you know. Embrace the new ideas, this Occupy thing could be the beginning of something good.
