Search Terms
In this post, we want to look at, study and discuss search terms as they apply here on FanBox and how they help determine whether you will be successful or not.
The Importance of Keywords and Search Terms

Search terms are the words and phrases that people type into the search forms of search engines. Keywords and keyphrases are the words on your site that match these search terms. On FanBox they are commonly grouped into lists and are known as "interests" or "knowledge areas." Search terms mean money in your FanBox bank, if used properly.
Before you do any type of search engine marketing, you have to understand your target audience and know the search terms they are using or interests that they are seeking to read about. Once you know the search terms being used, these can be included in the content of your Web site as keywords and keyphrases. Then they will make lots of money for you to invest and to re-invest in your FanBox bank, and, ultimately, for you to cash out in large bundles of money known as FanBox checks.
How Search Terms work:
Ex.:

The search terms, also known as keywords, you choose are used to show your ads to your readers and customers. Selecting high quality, relevant keywords for your advertising campaign can help you reach the readers and customers you want, when you want. The more readers and customers you reach, the more your ads are clicked and the more funds that will be added to your FanBox bank. Now do you see the importance of relevant search terms?
Imagine you are craving a hamburger. You head to a restaurant, and see that the items on the menu are "Food" and "Meat in between bread." Even if this restaurant served the best burger in town, you might leave without ordering anything. They'd lose your business -- simply because the words they used ("food" and "meat") weren't the same words you had in mind ("hamburgers").
To get your ads to appear when people search for your blog, post, product or service, the search terms or keywords you choose need to match the words or phrases that people use, or should be related to the content of the blogpost your customers will visit. Then your good work will not go for naught, just like the guy who makes the hamburgers. You will sell your burgers one by one and dollar by dollar will be added to your cash box.
Example
If you sell frisbees, you can add "buy frisbee" as a keyword in your FanBox provide campaign. When people type "buy frisbee" on FanBox search, your ad might appear on the search results page. In addition, your ad could also appear on search results about "ultimate frisbee."
When you select key search terms, you choose how much you're willing to pay each time a reader or customer clicks your ad (this is your cost-per-click or CPC). Choosing the most relevant keywords will improve the performance of your ads and help you maintain low CPCs. That means a better profit margin for you and the more money you will make in your bank faster.
