Children and Poverty in the Philippines

I would like to share a true story with you about children and poverty in the Philippines.  It is about a little Philippine girl named Levi.

Her name is Airish, but everyone calls her by her nickname, Levi. Her father, Tolino, was a very poor man, barely raising enough money to feed and care for her.

Since Philippine school is not free like it is here in the U.S., Levi could not afford to get an education and therefore had no hope

WHY asking people to help. WHY don't you pray to your Jesus. I recommend PRAY HARDER.

Or better yet ask ALLAH to help. It seems to me that Allah is doing much better job than your God.

Hi Camille you engaged in a noble cause of caring for kids with blood disease.? Yea very troubling for us who can't leave this country willfully or without any means! good for people who are able to scape the wallowing poverty in our country! Hope you people out there are doing their small concrete things to address other peoples concerns.

Levi will overcome it! or is holding to dear HOPE for a better tomorrow! Evey filipino has this... every one should have this hope founded only in God!

This is the reality in the Philippines..I don't know to whom we must to be blame?..You are a lucky child when your parents will give you shelter, nuritious foods and education..:((

@ sensei sasanuma.. First of all I am a muslim born and I find ur comment to be extremely rude as Islam does not look down upon any religion or persons! Also we should help those in need which ever part of this world that they are instead of degrading people's religions! Don't know where u have been getting ur teachings from? We are here to make a difference as one voice can rise and bring awareness. Very good blog, love it and keep up the good work, Camille Faye.. :)

In the Philippines, public schools are FREE. I for one was a product of public schools, in elementary and high school.
Fortunately, I was able to finish my university degree.
Levi will have hope, there are good samaritans out there, and she will have a better life.
Thanks for sharing this interesting post.
