Hunger and World Poverty

About 25,000 people die every day of hunger or hunger-related causes, according to the United Nations. This is one person every three and a half seconds, as you can see on this display. Unfortunately, it is children who die most often.

Yet there is plenty of food in the world for everyone. The problem is that hungry people are trapped in severe poverty. They lack the money to buy enough food to nourish themselves. Being constantly malnourished, they become weaker and often sick. This makes them increasingly less able to work,

i cannot stay more, i want to cry... i dont like to see this kind of poor people, they are human beings, they are not animals, why they are treating like that! The government did not do something about these? hah... i am teary eyes now...

I think the last picture is from India, .What a contrast in the society? India like other third world countries have a big gap in the society.The rich are the richest of the world and poor are the poorest.What ever high claims govt may make but picture is worth million words.
Erica,you are sentimental and kind hearted, The children in the picture are "better" than those of African children where there is no one to give even them food in charity and in alm.
