Racoritoare si plina de vitamine
Cum iti spuneam, eu consum de la gulie radacina. Frumos curatata cu acel cutitas special pentru coaja cartofilor, bine spalata si taiata in bucatele mai mici e numai buna de savurat, chiar si goala. Gustul e grozav, racoritor si de obicei dulceag. E posibil sa ai ghinionul sa dai si peste o gulie mai neprietenoasa, care poate avea gustul un pic amar. La gust sunt mai bune guliile mai mici, deoarece acelea care au dimensiuni mai mari sunt mai batrane si mai lemnoase.
Crucifera
Despre existenta guliilor se stie de acum 4.000 de ani. Romanii, dar si grecii erau mari fani. Multi oameni consuma in ziua de azi frunzele de la gulii. Iar specialisti le atribuie acestora calitati extraordinare. Sunt surse bogate in vitamina A, B6, C, E, B9, B2, K, calciu, cupru, fosfor, fier, potasiu, magneziu, mangan si fibre. Gulia apartine familiei cruciferelor. Deci, din start are un statut aparte. De fiecare data cand ti-am scris despre aceasta categorie de legume ti-am atras atentia ca ele sunt foarte bune pentru sanatate, in special pentru prevenirea unor tipuri de cancer. Tot specialistii considera gulia benefica in caz de cancer colorectal, ateroscleroza, artrita reumatoida, etc.
De bine pentru fumatori
In general frunzele de gulie actioneaza pozitiv asupra colonului. De asemenea si fumatorii (activi sau pasivi) pot consuma frunze de gulie daca vor sa isi ajute corpul. Cei care inhaleaza fum de tigara sunt supusi unui proces de diminuare a vitaminei A din cauza unei componente cancerigene din tutun. Richard Baybutt, profesor de nutritie la Kansas State, a descoperit cum apare in organism deficienta de vitamina A din cauza benzopirenului din tutun si fumul de tigara. Pentru plamani cat mai sanatosi e bine sa ai in alimentatie legume bogate in vitamina A. Pentru persoanele care au pietre la rinichi sau fiere e recomandat sa nu consume frunze de gulii. Sfatul este valabil si pentru cei care au probleme cu glanda tiroida.
Are putine calorii
O ceasca cu aproximativ 150 de grame de frunze de gulie (gatite) are circa 30 de calorii. Asadar, foarte putin, ceea ce indica utilizarea guliei in dietele pentru slabit. Daca vrei sa prepari frunzele, poti face o salata clasica sau le poti combina cu orez ori cartofi, fasole sau altceva.
Incearca sa consumi in fiecare zi legume cu frunze verzi, cu atat mai mult daca fac parte din familia cruciferelor: varza, brocoli, varza de Bruxelles, conopida, nap, gulie, etc. Aceste legume ne sunt precum niste ingeri pazitori care ne protejeaza impotriva cancerului, a problemelor de inima, de plamani si ne mentin cerebelul in forma peste ani.
