A Cast Of Two

I'm dreaming of that closest cuddle,
with someone true there's no muddle
we'd linger below the bedclothes a while
then finally emerge with a permanent smile
A smile to sustain us through many a dull day,
with no greater memories than when we did play
and later at night when sleep overtakes us at last,
we'll be dreaming again with just us two in the cast...

If you are beside me I can smile in my sleep,
