Yes, you are right she was a sister (A real honest-to-God Sista). In retrospect for me she was my first experience of encountering someone who lived from the inside out. I think we all saw straight away the inside spiritual being - the true essence, of Teena Marie. She was this and more to us all, I think.
You are so right! I think that this is by far one of the most couragous things an individual can do in their own life. It is so much easier said than done.
Awesome tribute. You know Lady Tee is my girl. There'll never be another like her. She just had that voice that just gets deep down in your soul. Thanks for sharing this.
