Prince Saiful Mulook and Badi-ul- Jamal is a classic fable from the Hazara region of Pakistan. It tells the story of a Prince's love for a fairy; the name Saiful Malook refers to a lake in northern Pakistan. [1]

There is also a famous poem about the story written by famous poet Mian Muhammad Baksh who wrote the classic story into poetic verse. The poem entitled Saif-Ul-Mulook is written in the Hindko language and very much popular in Potohar, Kashmir, Hazarah regions as well as the rest of Pakistan. A poet and writer from Balakot Ahmad Hussain Mujahid wrote the story of Saiful Muluk in prose (Urdu) depicting the local version.
