Pay For Click Nightmare?

A J Morgan

April 8 2012

Good morning FanBox community, friends, fans & Family!

I was let down and very dismayed this morning when I checked my earnings. I was hoping that I would have made a profit with my killer ads that I created for my Goods & Service products, which I funded myself.

Michael, I can understand your shock at finding so much money being used for clicks on the ad you created on your Premium Blog Post. You have asked so good questions.
1. Safe Guards:
The only way anyone has to try to stop those clicks from people who will not be purchasing a product or service from your ad might be to let the reader know the ad is for a Product, Service or Premium Blog Post. However, remember to find out what you are listing the sell price at one does have to click on your ad.
2. Is this Happening to Others?
I can only speak for myself and have only spent out 0.11 cents to date on ads I am running.
3. What can be done?
The first thing everyone needs to keep in mind when making ads of this nature is, "Clicks Cost", there is no guarantee that those clicking will purchase. If wish there was a way to make this safer to the advertiser. I know you have actively worked with Ad Sense and this is one reason you stopped using Ad Sense due to the fact the PPC was costing you so much money.

You have voiced some valid concerns but like you and I have spoken of this before, it is a risk when you fund an PPC ad. I would strongly suggest to anyone thinking of funding ads of this nature to determine if they are willing to take the risk. Yes, you can earn 5 times as much earnings but if no one is purchasing once clicking on the ad you may want to rethink funding the ads.

I wish you the best on all your ads, but weigh the risk and if you feel PPC is not for you then that is fine too.

I don't think the bank is fully updated yet because I show a charge for ads and that's it and I always have several line items showing in my bank.

Well done post and thanks for sharing, in fact thats what I observe in my ads always pending and earning was just down and up, sometimes it makes me lazy to create blogs and make ads..............????????????????????

I want to thank everyone that have offered up their opinions on this post so far. :-)) Advertising is a learning process for everyone of us old or new. It has also been noted that sometimes the updating of earnings get behind and in this case study, this was the case. However, the questions put forward and the opinions shared by everyone are right on track and interesting.

@ Gems, excellent insight and observations you have shared! Ads pending could also have a lot to do with the workload of the coach/coaches, computer issues etc.

Earnings could also be up & down as a reflection on your choice of tags used to represent your article or ads too. Niche marketing has several different aspects in which to consider. Tags used must be correct and accurate or your post/ad information decreases due to it not being able to reach its proper niches.

Example: You would not sell a basketball to a beauty emporium as it would not sell. but, if you advertised it to a sporting goods niche you would often increase your sales and move your product.

It makes me cringe a little when I see an ad that looks like it's going to take me to an interesting blog post and it turns out to be a premium blog. I feel bad because I have clicked and never intended to buy. I don't want to buy just any old blog. If I am going to pay for a blog, it's got to be something I can really sink my teeth into and learn from! I wish there were maybe a different color scheme or something to set P&S ads apart from the rest.

That's an excellent idea Sara! Thank you for your comments too.

I don't really get it. I look at the figures and what is written and to me it's mere a sheet with the name "bank" where you just scroll up and down and then leave it to people who understand what it's about. I see' ads pending' for more than a month and i wonder what to do when you see certain things.I choose to slowly follow and little by little i see light when i read the comments that you people make. When you comment I hope that you know that newbies and people who are slow are learning from your comments which are sometimes ctearer than an explanation of a couch . Reading this you you can imagine how i 'love the 'nice post' comments.
