Microsoft's IE10 prioritises privacy

Microsoft’s latest version of its internet browser, IE10 (Internet Explorer) has made the ‘Do Not Track’ feature, which stops companies from being able to trace people’s web behaviours, the default setting.

The bold move, which will result in users having to ‘opt in’ to targeted advertising, means IE10 is the only web browser to make the tracking feature an opt-in and is likely to be a big win with privacy campaigners.
