I dont understand this? What his religion has to do with divorce. Anyone can opt religion of his choice its faith and just pure faith.

In this case he must follow UK law as he got married there.

I just hope u had a very good reason to file that divorce but not merely because of religion..It's hard to comment because we don't know what's really happening and it would be unfair of taking sides.. wish u both good luck!

I see that the man is keeping s secret to his wife that he must state in a public court. Strange.

I am aware that both Christians and Moslems believe in the book of Genesis which states that these two are one flesh. During Jesus' ministry, there was debate on this eternal question. One school of thought argued that any trivial reason was sufficient for a a divorce, while another school argued that there should be weightier reasons. On his teaching about divorce, Jesus says that Moses permitted the Jews to divorce their wives because they are too hard to teach, even though Isaiah says they listened without hearing. I see a new specie that will not even tell his story for fear of hearing. Perhaps his reasons are below trivial and he therefore fears lack of support even among the liberals.

The implied reason for his divorce seems to be that he deserts his wife for 51 weeks per year.

Assalamualaikum I am a muslim and I feel sad that you want to divorce your Christian wife. I know that I am maybe to late to give my opinion but i think divorcing your Christian wife is not making Islam look good. I think that maybe you are in a hurry to marry your muslim friend. I suggest you pray and ask Allah for guidance and I pray that you will get the best solution. I feel sad and pity for your Chriatian wife and your child. Remember that the best manner in a man is patience.
