Planned for God's Family

You were created for God's family. God is love and he treasures relationships. His very nature is relational, and he identifies himself in family terms: Father, Son, and Spirit. The Trinity is God's relationship to himself. God, who already had an impeccable relationship within the Godhead (as God makes himself manifest in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit--Matthew 28:19-20 NLT  admonishes, "Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age”), desired a family to bring Him glory.  The entire Bible is the story of God building a family who will love him, honor him, and reign with him forever. It says,  "God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure" (NLT Ephesians 1:5).
