Honeybee

by Asma Chaudhry on January 31, 2012

Honeybee

Honeybee hives have long provided humans with honey and beeswax. Such commercial uses have spawned a large beekeeping industry, though many species still occur in the wild.

All honeybees are social and cooperative insects. A hive's inhabitants are generally divided into three types.

Collective aim is survival and all know their role and perform it, there is some versatility, the worker being chosen to become queen, the queen works at her job as hard as the drone or the worker at their's, after her reign the queen does not become a worker again, it is her time to die, a society populated predominantly by female, is a hopeful place to be
