Hold Out for God's Best

PATIENCE IS WHAT ALLOWS YOU TO GO FROM GOOD MEASURE TO RUNNING OVER.

It's one thing for a promise to be made.  It's another thing to actually inherit that promise -- to have it in your hand and truly partake of it.  We not only need faith in God's promises, we also need patience to endure with hope and cheerfulness as He brings His promises to full manifestation in our lives.

Patience is the completing, finishing and enduring power partner of faith.  With patience and faith working together we move on, confident in our expectation that He will deliver on His promises.

Hebrews 6:12 says, "That you be not lazy, but followers of them who throught faith and patience INHERIT the promises."  Verse 15 continues, "And so, after [Abraham] had patiently endured, he obtained the promise."

Inherit.  Endure.  Obtain.  Those are three very important words for those who intend to live the faith life.  Notice it is completed not through faith alone, but through faith and patience.

It takes endurance, or persistence in the face of challenges - to take a licking and keep on ticking as the commercials used to say.  Hebrews 10:35-36 explains further:  "Don't cast away your confidence... for you have need of patience, that after you have believed as asked, you might receive."

Patience is the ingredient that helps the desired result to manifest physically.  Patience means to remain constant and unmoved in the face of
