A BIG, BIG THANK YOU for this post!! You have a lot of knowledge and are doing your part of informing us all about this feature in FanBox. I commend you for writing such an awesome post. I almost want to frame this and get this tatooed in my head, not literally. but this was really worth reading over and over again. Thanks so much for this post.

Daphne... you are awesome girl, you always were. Just write me with your own ad success story and we'll celebrate!

May God richly bless you.

Thank you Amit and everyone who commented.

@ Amit Mishra

I wanted to add one more thing for you that I realize now I did not address in my answer to you but which you very clearly asked:

Why do you show click rate for an ad you have paused? Often, even though we pause an ad, FanBox continues to circulate it for us to give it EVERY CHANCE of exposure to the community, You might have given up on it but FanBox hasn't.

If you really want to stop an ad, go ahead and delete it ... but be sure to put up one to replace it with improvements, of course.

Gerry, your last thought was good too. Thanks. I am so excited about this post. Thanks for dropping your knowledge for the clueless. You're amazing!!!

Thank you Sweety

Amit, I plan to do more posts and ads and I will address that issue. I can be very important in overall ad strategy, I agree.

thanks for the posr, Jerry! I would like to use the experience for my ads, BUT my ads performance sector still is not working... my "manage ads" page shows that all my ads except two have no performance, but it is not so! I cannot analyse performance of my ads so I am blind and hepless. Is it common problem or only mine?

It is a common problem. I am almost done with the C&R answer for you and will address this problem and some ways you can work around it while the chart is down.

Gerry, I got to say that is about one of the most clear cut ways of describing how ads work here. Great job and look forward to reading more!

Very good information Gerry I was wondering about this too whether they would put the ad performance back. But I didn't know about the part that getting low click rates was also earning you money

nice post

Well ad chart is not available but when it was , i agree with you that many of us didn't understand that the way you explained. It was really confusing to see some ad's click rate up with low earning or earning nothing ..now I can understand. thanks gerry
well is there any other way out to know how our ads are doing? the question is not only to you but also to your seniors .if its not possible to provide ad's click graph ..then try different things to let users know which ad is doing well which one is not..
Publishing ad's performance like they have started publishing users' performance and rankings can be good idea if they can cope up with huge numbers of ads here.
I don't think we need that tricky ad graph, we need the information about ad performance that can be done through other ways . I hope they have point too and working on that.

Hi Arun,

Yes, for some time now we have been all flying blind - with not even the Click Rate chart to help judge how ads are performing - still if you're willing to put a little effort into it (and I know you are) you can still pretty much tell what is what. I just helped one of my students who was having real problems with ads. She is actually better at Cat & Rate than I am, but she was intimidated by the ads and like many here felt helpless to know how her ads were responding if she did do any tweaking. How to know what tweaking to do?

I went in and worked with her first to know what is a good ad, what "appeals" to the community and how to target her audience for both her own ads and ads she would select to promote other great and popular posts.

Then, I showed her how ad credits can convert to bigger money for her and why funding is important, especially right now.

With that background I showed her how to test the ads she was putting up. With a very modest ad budget her ads went live 4 days ago: She went from making $2 or $3 a day just with Cat & Rating to making $27, $26, $16 and then $17 dollars in the last 4 days.

She knows which ads are doing this for her. She will know when they stop performing so well and will know why and what to do about it.

I'll be teaching the general ways to do this in my Ask Gerry series as soon as we can get to Ad Strategizing.

If any of you are interested in my private FanBox classes and my Mindset for Success training you can ask me for one on one help without waiting for the series. The private class is VERY affordable and fun. See my listing in Provider here at FanBox:
