Tablet Computers - Android & Apple rule now.
But will Windows 8 bring Microsoft back into contention?
Since the huge rise in sales of Tablet computers has until now been almost entirely a battle between Apple with their iPad range and Android based machines from many suppliers, it has been apparent that Windows 7 was never going to be a contender on this platform.
Will that change next year with the introduction of new machines designed to get the best from Windows 8? Some early signs are that feature rich tablet PC's will closely rival Laptop specs, but with the tablet touch screen advantages.
OK, so maybe that gives Apple and Android roughly a year to bring more innovations to their operating systems - but just what can Windows be planning to offer to give them significant leverage into this fast moving market sector?

Nice post, really informative.
Thank you Baseer, I've been using an Android tablet pc for a while, but am considering the later Android 4.00 system for my next upgrade. I personally doubt any one system will dominate in the way Windows used to on desktop computers, but the speed of innovations now is impressive and it is hard to know which way the market will go.
I think the only safe bet is that ARM chip technologies will continue to provide the portable devices with performance that Intel would like to match.... :) Best wishes, Dave
VERY GREAT LIKE THAT
