LEMESOS (Limassol)
The town of Lemesos (Limassol) is situated between the ancient towns of Amathus and Curium. The English King Richard the Lionheart destroyed Amathus in 1191.

Thank you very much May for this excellent articles and in depth historical information of Lemesos- Limassol, my town, the place I start and finished my secondary studies and the place I lived and work after my University studies. Today Lemesos is the second large city in Cyprus with almost 150.000 thousands inhabitants.
