Top 10 Frugal Dates

Dating on the cheap without looking, well, cheap, isn’t easy. It’s normally only a concern at the beginning of a relationship, where both parties are assumed to have an infinite dating budget.  Sometimes you’re just a little short. Here are ten ideas for frugal dates that won’t cost a fortune.

10: The Coffee Date

Cost: $10 – $15

More or less limited to first or second dates, and a little risky on account of high school nostalgia, the coffee shop date is a cheap staple.  In order to avoid it being a boring… coffee date, pick an unusual place – don’t just go to Starbucks.  Find somewhere that has unusual decor, nice music, and a good atmosphere.  It only starts getting expensive when it turns into The Cocktail Date.

9: The Long, Romantic Walk

Cost: Potentially nothing, after supplies

Do you, like the Middletons, enjoy outdoor pursuits? If you both enjoy the outdoors, find a nice walk that isn’t too strenuous, but one that has great views. Don’t do a well-known walk or regular dating spot, but rather find somewhere out of town to go to.  The longer the drive, the better.
