4 Benefits of Living in a Blended Family

 

 

Whenever people talk about ‘blended families’ I cannot stop myself of thinking about ‘The Brady Bunch.’ If you haven’t watched the film, I suggest you do. We often look at blended families as two separate families simply pushed to live with each other and can’t really get along. This is not necessarily the case. There are many advantages of living in a blended family, which I would like to share in this article.

What is a ‘blended family’?

Blended families are those which have been created by those single (divorced/widowed) parents who remarry to another single (divorced/widowed) parent. So, when they get married, what they bring along are their children, which are often termed as “baggage.” After the couple marry or decide to ‘live-in’ there are complications, like living arrangements, lifestyle, habits and etiquette which need to be taken into consideration. Each parent has brought up their child/children differently and they now all have to stay under one roof.
