Friends and Fans on Fanbox
By A J Morgan
I just want to say that being on the Top 100 List of Fanbox is exciting and interesting in that you receive many free fans, which means you also have more people reading and sharing your blog post with others that may also be on their own friends and fans list. This ultimately over a short period not only increases your views but also your earnings long as well as short term. This begs to question, who would not want to be on the Top 100 List? Especially if you have a great chance of increasing your views and ultimately your overall earning.
However, this can also be very problematic in that along with all these free fans, which you are, receiving also comes a ton of spammers. At least in my case, this is how it has been lately. I spend nearly an hour and a half, going through deleting and adding these new fans as well as trying to sort out the spammers from the legitimate ones. This in turns takes away from my time that I could be writing new post and reading, commenting, categorizing and rating others.
Almost all the new fans I’ve been receiving have no profiles to speak of and no profile pictures. This I find to be alarming in that I seldom feel comfortable adding others to my list, which don’t have a profile picture or at least some information listed about themselves in the profile page.
I’ve been receiving several free fans with names such as… Office, info, Ed, ed etc. that repeat themselves repeatedly. I as of late have been not fanning them at all!
