The view from the window

by Senator Vicky Sc on November 12, 2011

In a hospital, in the same room were two patients. The patient’s beds were located in two different places in the room – one, next to the window, other – next to the door.

The patient, who was next to the door, was very unhappy of this situation. He complained all the time, that he can see only one white wall, which is boring thing and doesn’t help him feel better and get well soon.

Then the other man – this one, who was next to the window – started telling him what he sees by the window. Every day, from early morning to the darkest hours of the night, he told what happens in the world outside. He was telling stories about the beautiful butterflies, flying in the garden around the colourful flowers; about the small, grey sparrows, which come sometimes to the window, searching for a food; about the kids, running in the garden with a big bundles of balloons. Even once, he told about a boy and a girl, so much in love, that walking around, they did not see anything else.
