Once upon a time a monk lived in a small monastery. He was not an example of a devotional Christian man. He didn’t keep the fasts regularly, usually delayed for the praises, his mind was full of forbidden ideas and intentions. Everybody criticized him, he constantly promised to change, but next day he continued living in the same way – a bit aside of the righteous road…

And after some time his lifetime finished and the monk lied on the bad, living his last minutes in this sinful world. The other monks came to his room to say а last goodbye and to forgive each other. They were surprised that this sinner has so pious death – his face was quiet, he even smiled to his brothers.
