You can even divide the 30 minutes into shorter periods of at least 10 minutes each. For instance, use stairs instead of an elevator, get off a bus one or two stops early, or park your car at the far end of the lot at work.

Walking does a body good like milk huh? What I do is put ankle weights on my arms and legs when I walk so it makes me work a little harder and gives me some muscle tone. 5 pounds on my ankles and 8 pounds on my arms Your goal should be to increase one lap each day you walk . When you get to where your walking for an hour it's now time to pick up the pace so you get more laps done within that hour. Great for the heart and great for weight loss.

Each of us should strive to maintain fitness every day, health is all.

I am all agree with your proposal. For a good health slow walking or strolling at the start and getting harder as time goes by. Do not overdo it or it may hurt your body, take a break after a few day and back a little by little harder and maybe longer distance. Always check with your body if it say no then you should stop. Do not push too hard it might break or hurt you. Be caution, be nice and be gentle with your only body. Any ailment should be refer to your family physician immediately, please.
