Thanks Mr. Fazal for such a brilliant extempore! Alien civilisation views can be obtained only when the planet is reasonably distanced enough, the first prerequisite for life! But that also limits the no. of orbital views available to the Scientist community! It is natural to expect that the orbital period will be as long as an earth year. However, if the host star is a red dwarf, the planet would be in a more proximate zone to the star that's not as intense as the Sun. The TESS project and FINESSE project of NASA really are the first step in the direction as mere views themselves reveal the alien state of affairs. The other alternative will be to send the signals and take the risk ill advised by Stephen Hawking.

Stephen Hawking is sure alien life is there in the Universe. After all, there are 40 billion earthlike planets in our own galaxy itself. But Mr. Hawking advises not to establish contacts with aliens as we do not know their intentions. And that could be disastrous for humanity.

I really like this post! I agree with Internaut about we probably wont live long enough to see exploration beyond our solar system, but it is good that NASA is looking.

No No No No! TESS and FINESSE missions will be launched in 2012. And you'll find real views of earthlike planets from all angles and alien life/alien civilisations too. I assure you to get real time video views in my blogs as I am a privileged member of NASA archives library!

Space always been a place mystery where mankind still haven't fully understand. Many things happens is space we still dont know why. However with the Astronomy community is big finding of information they can learn from.
