~Some Short Stories~

It all started just over 20 years ago – (that makes me sound so old!) I was 18, just finished school after “A” Levels and had secured my first full time job at a local branch of Lloyds Bank .

I was so excited – a proper job, proper salary and ALL the benefits of working for a famous High Street Bank! I was also gutted at the same time as my best friend had landed a job at the Bank next door “Barclays” which had much younger staff AND more of a “social circle”. However, as we were best friends (most of the time!), I joined in all their outings from Xmas do’s, darts evenings, pub crawls etc ( ALL involving alcohol and good times!”)

This is where I met Mr Allen otherwise known as Taff or Taffy!  He was 23, dark, handsome and an excellent cricket player (for Royal Ascot CC) AND didn’t he know it and use it to his advantage!!
