Great article! I have a quick question for you. How many of these fans had no profile pictures and very little information about them in their profiles? I have over 4500 fans and only a very small percentage have profile pic's and some basic information about them selves. For security reasons mainly... Is this something that I should be worried about?

That is the point ! I am glad you got the idea and are some still more out there to increase your earnings!

I think about 33% of the new fans had no finished profiles yet. Doesn't mean they won't eventually since they are likely brand new to Fanbox within the last 24 hours. Many people are invited to join Fanbox by fanbox letting people connect to their email contact list, so I think Fanbox sends them something to get them to join. Many people will join because their friend sent them the invite. Problem is many if not most all of these people don't have any idea what fanbox is all about and never finish setting up their profile to become active with Fanbox. There are many people on Fanbox who are active who also don't have a profile photo by choice. I don't usually connect with my fans if they don't have a profile photo because I don't think they are going to care about my blogs over time. I would rather focus on people wanting to be an active part of Fanbox (those with profiles). I will fan them back and see what type of recent activity they have had and welcome them to fanbox.

Yes, we probably all have many many many fans who will never log into Fanbox to read our blogs, but the more fans you have, the better chance you will have a good number who will follow you. If I only have 50% of my fans with active profiles, 50% of 300 is 150 active fans as opposed to 800 with 1600 fans. My blog exposure is much better. It's still a shotgun approach when it comes to showing up on someone's wall because of how fast the page is changing moving posts down the page. The odds are against someone even seeing my blog as it goes by. It's sort of like owning a store in a mall and getting 50% of your traffic only being window shoppers with no money or intention of buying anything from you. Focus on the % of people you can actually benefit from.

My ads are there to get the attention of active Fanbox members and gain new fans as well as increase my blog read times and reviews to make my blogs more relevant in Fanbox searches.

They don't have pictures , fine . send them email what is to add a picture or more , to post something.
