Top Names and Baby Naming Trends of 2011

Naming a new baby is a minefield.  Your child has to live with this name forever, after all.  There are a thousand things to think about when making the choice… or at least there should be.  As always, the BabyCenter.com most popular baby names and naming trends lists reveal that many parents don’t give as much thought to naming their children as they should.

Some trending name ideas, like naming your little boy either Anderson or Cooper after CNN anchor Anderson Cooper, are likely to meet with approval from the babies who will have to live with these names when they grow up.  As will the trend of naming babies after the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.  There will certainly be at least four Wills and Kates in every classroom, but a Will can grow up to be a lawyer as easily as rockstar
