I've heard about the many benefits of garlic but if you eat too much of it, you will reek! That's the only problem, it comes through the pores of your skin! I do love the taste though. Good information Kat! :-)

Thanks Katherine. To Jan, for the reek, try the zest (rind or skin) of a citrus fruit, I prefer lemon. It will not kill the odour but make will certainly it better. Also older garlic smells less strongly. I do'nt know how significantly the medicinal value decreases if at all.
