Jennifer Aniston received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame yesterday. However, no Oscar nomination for her.
Comedic actor Sascha Baron Cohen has been asked by the Academy not to appear on the red carpet in his dictator costume. The 40-year-old comic has reportedly had his tickets to this Sunday's 84th Academy Awards ceremony recalled after fears that he would arrive in dictator garb. Cohen played a bearded dictator in his latest movie The Dictator.
Fun Trivia: Meryl Streep has received 17 Academy Award nominations, winning two, and 26 Golden Globe nominations, winning eight, more nominations than any other actor in the history of either award. However, she has not won an Oscar since 1982 for Sophie's Choice. She is nominated this year for her starring role in The Iron Lady.
