Have you ever noticed that every once in while a movie star, singer or celebrity pops up who tries to be like Marilyn Monroe or is compared to the 1950's icon?  Below are some of the more well known Marilyn Monroe wannabes.

Madonna's 1985 "Material Girl" video was an homage to Monroe. The pop icon even wore the same pink dress and gloves paired with dazzling jewelry that Monroe did in Gentlemen Prefer Blondes.  She continued to emulate Marilyn's look for several years with great success.

Megan Fox

"I really admire Marilyn Monroe, but I would never try to emulate her. I got the tattoo (see her right arm in the pic) as a warning," Fox said in 2009. "It warns me not to let myself be treated so badly by the film industry so that it breaks me down."
