I am not one to panic about every bit of new info that the media puts out saying something is harmful, but I am concerned about this as I do give my son apple juice. When I looked at the label on the container of juice in my fridge it said make in argentina/china. I will always be buying organic apple juice only that is made in the USA just to be on the safe side.

I BELIEVE MOST FRUIT CONTAIN ARSENIC IN THEIR SEEDS AND THAT IF YOU WERE TO DIGEST A CUPFUL OF APPLE SEEDS AT ONE TIME THERE IS ENOUGH ARSENIC TO KILL YOU.

There are low levels or Arsenic in water and some fruit from pesticides which they say is ok. Exposure to large amounts could be harmful, but I don't think you could die from eating apples...who eats the seed anyway...eww. :P

Be safe by selecting some good apple varieties like Red delicious, remove the seeds, slice them and put it in a blender have the natural juice-no harmful pesticides-No fear of arsenic.

I used to work on an apple farm and I would caution everyone to be sure to wash and scrub all apples thoroughly with soap and water as apple orchards are sprayed with toxic chemical spray every 10 days during their growth cycle .

It is a good practice to wash and scrub all fruits and vegetables with soap and water to remove pesticides contaminates and toxins prior to consumption .
I have even seen crop dusting from airplanes and huge tracker driven sprayers of bananas, pineapples ,beans, wheat, grapes and basically all food crops .
It is amazing how dirty your water becomes when you do this .

Very well presented information and considerations. Regarding to treating with pesticides, and the comment of Paul England above, the apple is probably the most treated fruit- more than 15 times during the vegetation period, almost each week!
