All about me,things i see & maybe a lil poetry too

Good morning. The C&R is set up for people to tell what a post is about *not* their opinions about a post. So if someone isn't reading the post, the algorithms already have a very good idea what the post is about and if someone isn't categorizing and rating accurately - the system will punish them by disregarding their opinions on the post and if it continues - completely so they are just basically C&R'ing themselves out of the system.

It's before coffee, I meant to add - I really liked this post!

JoLynn explained the C&R rather well. I do agree that it's not nice for people to try to get away with just categorizing and rating without actually reading a blog. It's really rather hurtful emotionally to the author if a writer writes about a very sensitive issue and how she was hurt by something that happened in her life, then to read someone comment with a single word, "nice". I understand where you are coming from, Tara. Good job in expression here, and I do understand your frustration.

I much prefer to see valuable comments on my blog entries as well, lets me know the person read my work, understood it and took the time to make a valuable comment. I even help a couple of other bloggers by helping point out improper word usage, spelling, and grammar, and they do the same for me.
Here's to weeding out the fakers!

Hi Tara, a fellow author here. I hear what you are saying and I agree. I am new here but I have been wondering about some of the things that you brought out. I have seen it happen in other sites where you post something and some post the nice post, or thanks for sharing type reply. I felt right away they had not read what I had written. Sorry to critique you, and maybe I am wrong, but the word motive in the last paragraph should be motivate. At least that is how I would have worded it. You can critique me any time too. It was a great post full of deep feelings. Thanks.

yeah rating a post without reading i guess is unappropriate. but maybe because of how the rating system works the give and take thingy may be the reason some people do it, sorry for bad english
