ASCAP "I CREATE MUSIC" EXPO: DAY 1

In less than an hour I'll be reporting to my blogger post for ASCAP'S music expo. I've already planned my agenda on which panels I'd like to attend to listen to hit songwriters and producers talk about their personal experience and what it takes to be at the top of the Billboard charts. The following is my schedule for today:

10:30 am to 11:45 am (Hitmakers Cookbook: Recipes for Success):This panel will have Producer/Songwriter Rob Fusari ("Paparazzi" for Lady Gaga, "Bootylicious" for Destiny's Child), Songwriter Josh Kear ("Need You Now" for Lady Antebellum, "Before He Cheats" for Carrie Underwood), Producer/Songwriter Ari Levine ("F**k You" for Cee-Lo, "Grenade", "Nothin' On You", and "Just the Way You Are" for Bruno Mars), and Songwriter/Producer Dan Wilson ("Not Ready to Make Nice" for Dixie Chicks).

11:45 am to 1:00 pm (Desmond Child's Master Class in Songwriting): Producer/Songwriter for hits such as "Living on a Prayer" for Bon Jovi, and "Livin' La Vida Loca" for Ricky Martin. This is a intimate group of only 20 people personally trained by Desmond Child on his formula for songs. I'm not sure
