Some of these government PSA are misleading. They show all these people who are totally addicted and losing teeth, but they don't show the people that like to get spun every once and a while... (not me)... If the government wants to do something, why don't they spend some money engineering a drug that has the euphoric effects without the side-effects of physical deterioration and in some instances death. Opiods are the worst of the worst, no doubt about it. But then again, how many people die a year from alcohol? I could go on and on about alcohol vs. opoids vs. CNS drugs, but the point is that it is a lot easier to die from alcohol than CNS drugs.

@Smartest - Agreed, the vids are over the top but I thought it was a well done series. I hear ya too, I was married to an alcoholic and opiate abuser and I've seen addiction at its worst. It boggles my mind what an addict is willing to give up to get high. Incredible. A friend of mine that's an RN at a VA told me there's a syndrome called "Wet Brain" that she sees in a lot of lifetime alcoholics. You can guess how damaging it is. I never heard of it before.

I'd much rather spend a weekend with a tweaker than a drunk. Most drunks I've ever met are mean, most tweakers just need more shit... then sleep when they run out. It's funny to see someone that's tweaking and been awake for a week though, running into walls and slurring their words like drunks. It's like a badge of honor when you talk to a tweaker and ask them how long they've been awake. I think every hardcore tweaker tries to stay up for 10 days or more. Never heard of "wet brain" before, I assume it's just the long-term damage of booze. After all this, weed is so evil and nasty and bad and every other derogatory word in the English language, but I have yet to see a story that says anyone has died in the last 10,000 years from weed. Tweaking is bad, no doubt about it, a dude was just found in a creek out here the other day and his autopsy showed he was tweaking.

I'm with you - I don't speak drunkenese - don't wanna learn. Tweakers are just amusing, as long as your electronics are out of pawning range LOL....

oh my god so scary, I knew it was bad, but seeing it, scared me the most. That's why I never let myself addictive to anything. Now I must make sure for Brandon.
