Jo Potocki helps pro choice movements.

I grew up in the South, we jokingly used to refer to it as "The Buckle of the Bible Belt". I grew up in a town that heavily southern baptist and extremely conservative. The town I lived in was dry (you couldn't buy alcohol anywhere within the city limits - not even privately owned restaurants).
And the Blue Laws were in effect.

Did You Ever Hear of the Blue Laws?
store roped off for blue lawcan't buy chalk on sundayIn a nutshell, the Blue Laws were basically designed so there was nothing to do on Sunday except go to church.
Nearly all retail stores were closed and the ones that were open could only sell a limited number of items. For example IF a grocery store near you was open, you could buy eggs, milk and flour to make pancakes. However you couldn't buy a pan or a spatula to make them with. Those aisles in the stores would be roped off with blue velvet ropes.
And you had to go early, stores had to close by 6pm.

The Blue Laws didn't get repealed until around the mid-1980's.

I recently told me partner about Blue Laws - he couldn't believe they were in effect in this century.

@Kendall - Don't misunderstand what I wrote. I am okay with people protesting abortion. I'm heavily Pro-Choice but I still support someone's right to speak their mind - I don't like the manner some of them do it though. Protest in a way that I DO NOT get sucked into having non-age appropriate conversations with my kids. I think those types of protesters are selfish pigs who think of nothing but THEIR agenda.

I got a comment the other day in email about this post reminding that if we show children the posters with actual medical photos of aborted fetuses it will stop our children from having abortions. Sorry I kinda side with EDUCATION not shock image therapy.

my opion is i dont agree with abortaion except the case of incest or rape but even i believe people are entittled to their opion yes my friends & fam or anyone i deal with know where i stand & i also take the steps to prevent from even having to make that choice but to throw it down someones throat lol thats ass backwards no one is going to listen to someone yelling at them come on at a certain age you stop yelling at kids so why yell at adults then to do it in a place where kids are thats crazy respect a kid is a kid & doesnt understand that but the way the world is going kidergaterns are giving oral sex as for the pictures i agree when they are in high school yes show them the pictures so they see the whole scope of whats going on i also think if abortation is such a wrong thing have people on both sides who did it talk to them so they can make an informed decision on what they want to do. because i hearn some people say they regretted it, some say they ok with it, & ones that are glad they made this decision. someone i knew in high school got one done when she found out she was supposly 3 months along because a dr lied to her so he could get her to do it & she found out she was actually 7 months along & she talked about how it was hard because she in her mind could hear the baby. so i fell tell all sides of it.

@melissa - those are excellent thoughts. I'm pro-choice and will always be pro-choice. I'm glad an unwanted pregnancy is something I personally never had to face - I'm not even sure what I'd choose - it's impossible to say.
Thanks so much for your thoughts !!!!!!!!!!!

@Jorge - I deleted your comment because it added nothing. Make a genuine comment that adds to the conversation - flinging insults isn't conversation.

FREE SPEACH. Good thought. We may not like what is said or written, we may not agree with it, it may be said at the wrong place and the wrong time, but it is our Right as Americans. Bottom line. So it may mean that we have to explain things to our children before we want to.
