My StalkerSince 2003, my partner and I have been dealing with a stalker. We know who our stalker is and the sad part is, there really isn't a thing we can do about it.

For 3 months, from November 1999 to February 2000 my partner lived with a girl we will call Tammy.

It was a volatile relationship, because well, Tammy is crazy. And I don't mean like your crazy friend that you like to hang out with because she makes every outing fun - this chick is crack-a-lackin' cra-zazy.

Right after she moved out and wasn't collecting and hiding the mail any longer, my partner found out he was about $13,000 in debt on credit cards she had used to buy electronics and then go return for cash or pawn for cash when the stores didn't offer a cash refund on items. She also got a ton of cash advances. He attempted to deal with her once about making payments and then blew it off and decided to take care of it himself.
It was easier than having psycho-Tammy around.

I didn't meet with him until the following year, long after they broke up. We just clicked in every way two people can click and we're still rockin' steady to this very day. When we were dating, she would drive past the house 2 or even 3 times per day. Then she would park and just sit up the street about 7 houses down.

We had to get our phone number changed because of non-stop ring and hang up calls. It was her number calling. She tried to get our new phone number from some mutual friends but our friends didn't give it up (thank you).

Then the real fun started. Our mailbox started filling up daily with "stuff". The crap from the Franklin Mint - the stupid cross that projects the Lord's prayer on the wall, cheesy Michael Jackson commemorative plates, Homer Simpson figurines, christmas ornaments and more. I mean a mega-ton of stuff. I dutifully packed it up and sent it back with a note and yet she was still placing order after order.

The woman who owned our house before we bought it died in the house and Tammy sent everything to Myrtle - just to be extra creepy. So I guess in context she's stalking Myrtle!

Anyway, Tammy made

oh my god i fell bad for you i went through a stalker ex its over 6 years and he still does it not like that bout would stalk me through yahoo writing stuff to get my attention i fell for it a few times but i decided it aint worth it so i stay off there as much as can be i had to give up movies & cds to get away from him but because where i went to school i was forced to see him up to a year after the break up which consisted of him accidently like he calls it just bumbing my glasses off my face into a train track but some how he had got them and wanted to give them to me i told him na thats cool you can keep my glasses, cds, & movies because my sanity is a lil more important than that stuff things are replaceable but not my sanity and waste of my time over it.

@Melissa - wow that's awful! I'm with you - I wouldn't want anything someone that negative even touched! And let's face it, living happy and free from someone is the best revenge :) Glad you got away from your stalker!

Maybe you should consider moving, if you haven't already considered that. If you know any of her family members, you might want to contact them and see if they can order a pyschiatric assessment done to have her put in the mental hospital.

@Kristin - her family is as nuts as she is. I'm talking like "puts the "fun" in dysfunctional" kind of family. And she has nothing to lose. We've found after almost 10 years of dealing with her ignoring her where she gets not even negative attention works the best and we've only had 2 incidents in 2011 so that's like a record of being left alone!

@ Jolynn I dont know how you have the will power to show such restraint if it were me I woulda sent the kids to a neighbor and knocked her out lol stalkerzilla lol might be a good idea for a new reality show lol hmmm lol wish you all the luck in the world with her!

@Tara - believe me, punching her square in the face would feel good beyond belief - thanks for your great words of support and stalkerzilla made me LOL!

@April - we talked about it - giving her ANY attention at all in the past had made it worse and she's very, very vindictive. She hasn't had our phone number in years so at least the phone calls have stopped. WOW I am sorry to hear you have a stalker too...hey maybe we can hook up our stalkers...then it if ends badly they can stalk each other and leave us alone.

@chris actually 2011 has been pretty good stalker-wise - she has only mailed us a few things and no lawn service orders (yet) so here's to hoping she is finally moving on :)

Oh gush, it was so terrible to have her existence... I hope she will just diminish for good.

Wow...I've had stalkers myself but this one is C-R-A-Z-Y. You should file a restraining order on her ass so she can't come near you guys. And sending you guys all that stuff...WOW...too much!

@Arlene - yeah, it's nuts. We looked into getting a restraining order but it entails giving her far too much information about us. She has to know what number not to call so she gets our phone numbers. She needs to know what stores not to shop at so she gets where we grocery shop - and so on. So we found ignoring her works best, I thought filing a restraining order you just did it and the other person stayed away but apparently the other person has to be given notice about what NOT to do, call or where to go. It's so dumb.

Talk about real life drama - I really hope she disappears into thin air real soon for you - whew! You never know who you'll meet in life then they turn out to be mentally unstable!

@Jan no joke and I sorta like my life boring and uneventful LOL...I really do not dig drama at all. In fact, I avoid it. I think she's got someone new to obsess over finally - they have my deepest condolences for the probably years of annoyance to come.

A difficult situation Ii guess. But All I know we should always put ourselves in someone's shoe so that we can have a betyter view of things. I am speechless.
