Okay so our friend Jon left a suitcase with roughly 2,000 condoms in it on our back porch
(he was a musician and the band was throwing them off the stage)…
We kept forgetting to ask Jon if he wanted them back and then finally the suitcase just kind of disintegrated
and we thought it would be really funny to re-create the condom wrappers
They were painted first with black gesso for a base then we used acrylic paints, archival inks and watercolors.
The end result was sealed under a heavy gloss varnish.
and here you go…

This is only a tiny smattering of the condom wrappers we painted - there were SO MANY!

@HH - I will paint on anything and since they couldn't be recycled - we wanted to do SOMETHING with them. It was really funny how fast they got bought up by art collectors!
