@william, that's so lame. Let the kids have fun. Halloween is basically New Year's for pagans - it has zero to do with Satan or demons.
Halloween is one of the best holidays for kids and adults. I don't think it should be messed with at all- especially now in a down economy. The best thing we should do is dress up and have fun!!

Ms. K - I'm so with you. One of my best friends is a hardcore evangelical, I love her dearly, BUT on October 31st of every year - she still lets her kids dress up and she doesn't think they are going to Hell. Actually, she mentioned she thought JesusWeen would be far better held on Easter and let the kids exchange Bibles and Christian gifts to keep the holiday fully about Jesus because let's face it, little bunnies and chicks didn't have a thing to do with Jesus that's all from the Pagan sabbat.

@Carol.... Halloween is not the "Devil's Holiday on Earth" - there are these cool things called books, and some of them are even about history. If you look into it, you'll find it was named by the Pope and heavily influenced by the Catholic Church. And yeah, Catholics are Christians too all nuances aside.
