This is a great video that makes some great points and will ask you some hard questions.
I am always interested to discuss other faiths with Christians.
It's amazing how quickly they will dismiss Mormons "as a cult" for what they believe, Catholics "as a cult" for what they believe. Allah isn't correct and Buddha ... well, "what a weird way to think" is the basic consensus.
And then they are incredulous when you point out, those other faith dismiss the believer's brand of Christianity often as a "cult" or simply "wrong".
This point is brought up later in the video but do consider this:
If you were born in ancient Greece, would you be a Christian or believe in Zeus?
If you were born in Afghanistan, would be you a Christian or believe in Allah?

I wrote down the first half of this video so you could read along :

With the progressive development of science today.

Any work that may prove to be. It says that no matter who you are, white, black or yellow.

All of us live on a planet that is Earth.

The calculation religion always brings good people. That's true if they bring love, care and support to help each other.

I so agree with you Tam, ultimately we have to remember we are human beings and we should ultimately love, care and support each other. Good thoughts! I hope that attitude spreads!

dear Lolynn,
I like your way of thinking, but you have to be sure that not any one can think as you are thinking, the matter that you gave your mind the chance to think in logic way, but others cannot do thinking about the things which they had been tought while they are children, specially the imagination which their parents and teachers put in thier minds, I am sure you are right and correct, but no one is able to go in your way, it is a big story, very old society, it need very good and open mind to have the chance to think, and it is not allowed in our countries., wish you luck, Azmy

Hello Azmy! I agree with you and I understand completely what you're saying. It's a good thing the thoughts can't be taken out of our heads so we may not say everything we are thinking, but we can think it.

@Ironic -great thoughts! I laughed aloud at the double Zoroastrian!
My issues are when people want do to do intellectually dishonest stuff at the expense of education (ie: creationism in schools for example), the fact mega-churches (or any church) does not pay taxes irks me when they are clearly about profit and I think we would a lot further along as humans if we put religion aside (Inquisition anyone? Dark Ages?) and concentrated on the common ground we can all find in our unique and wonderful diversity as people. I have a very Christian friend and he is constantly calling Muslims stupid for believing the story of Mohammed riding a flying horse and yet Mary getting knocked up by God, Jonah and the whale and Noah's Ark are all absolutely real to him and he will defend those myths to his very last breath.

Nobody is certain that a particular religion is true or better than others. The only thing that differs a religion from other religion is the application of the good deeds they show to the world. Religion teaches good things in life. Religion helps other people understand the way they look at the world. Religion is a relationship to yourself, the world and to God. Without religion, there is no justice established between good and bad, good and evil, true and false. Religion is like an ingredient that regulates the physical and mental aspects of man. Religion teaches man to understand hope after failure, nurture strength in spirit to shield him in sudden misfortunes. If you believe in God, that means that you believe. If you don't believe means that you don/t believe. It's a matter of choice. It's all up to you whether you really believe or not.

@Ironic - At first blush, all I can really ascertain is that Crystal Cathedral is just another 10,000+ member for-profit church as far as I can see. And hey, gotta give 'em props they have some righteous wedding packages and 4 ways to tithe in those payments LOL.....
