hmmm let see if it will work...
I live in Toledo, Ohio (Holy Toledo) where there were once more churches per capita than anywhere else in the USA. I can't find anyone doing the Jesus-ween thing .... I'm gonna keep asking - I'm interested to see what they are doing for it.
When my daughter's children were very small, they weren't allowed to celebrate Halloween because it was against their so-called religion, then a few year's later they changed their mind and allowed them to celebrate it. Then later on they couldn't have a Christmas tree in their home because there was something wrong with that, God only knows what ban they will come up with next. My faith doesn't prohibit Halloween or Christmas trees, lol. But Jesus-Ween, that sounds really, really strange, the word I mean.
@Glenway awww that's so sad the kids got Halloween and then had it taken away. I've always given my kids leeway to celebrate any darn holiday they wanted as long as they took to time to really learn why it is celebrated and get something educational out of it too. My youngest spawn is only 6-yrs old but he knows the true origins of Yule/Christmas but it doesn't make it any less fun. Ultimately we make all holidays about being together and include as many family and friends as possible.
Children have every right to enjoy their childhod accordingly, and let then experience their life without manipulation. As Ironic said here, their mind must develop. We aduld must learn not to shadow, or manipulate, I know it's hard for adult not to do so...:-p
