Let's go back to the beginning — all the way to Adam and Eve, and to the question: Did they exist, and did all of humanity descend from that single pair?
The answer according to a growing number of Christian scholars is : No, it never happened.

According to the Bible (Genesis 2:7), this is how humanity began: "The Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul." God then called the man Adam, and later created Eve from Adam's rib.

@william - and why it is I shall never know, it's not even written well. If you have 10 minutes to spare - check out the reviews at Amazon for the Bible ..."This is God's second book after the Old Testament....." You'll hae to cut-n-paste the link http://www.amazon.com/Holy-Bible-King-James-Version/product-reviews/0529064634/ref=dp_top_cm_cr_acr_txt?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=1

Interesting post! This goes a long way in disproving the Adam & Eve Myth.

@william - you're probably right, quantum physics and abiogenesis aren't things that need human intervention to happen or continue :)

@Michael - hello and good see you! Thanks for your comment - much appreciated.

You know all of you people are uninformed and do not know or understand the bible, and probably do not read it or never pick it up. Explain how and why are you here, Did you walk out of the water as an evolutionary primates? I think not. William you and JoLynn are two non-believers that do not know how you are doing things that you do. I guess that you think that you get what you have on your merit alone? I suppose that the writing of the white supremacy is correct then? Y'ALL SO WRONG!! For sure you don't know the Bible. Scientist have been trying to disprove the Bible since time, and they can't and they won't. All of them are just non-believers who want everything they say to be facts just because they are scientist. Why is it that when things are not like they want it to be they have to cut it up and dissect it and make it what they want?! Satan has found his weakness within the science community.

@Arthur - First of all, I'm not white and I don't subscribe to white supremacy. Next point, science has NEVER, EVER, EVER sought to disprove the Bible. It just can't be proven. And for the record, I don't believe in Satan either. Seriously, Arthur, the bible isn't a science book - read Richard Dawkins' "Greatest Show on Earth" it breaks down evolution in a way anyone can understand, even people who want to be willfully ignorant about it.

Some people will sometime realize that there is no God in the earth and they have to solve their problems by themselves but some people changes those will powered minds to ordinary one by telling God will take care ...You don't worry

I think it's fantastic Christian Scholars are starting to come around. What many people just don't get is that science never goes out to prove there is no God. God is something that hasn't been proven. Instead abiogenesis, evolution, quantum physics and other fields have answers that point away from God as being the answer. But you NEVER crunch evidence to fit a theory - you let the evidence build a fact and as more evidence is found you stay open to change.

I think that judging someone to be a "non-believers" just place a nail in the coffin for Christians that wave the cross around to others. No can prove there is God and no can prove that there is not. JoLynn is right we must be open to change. Scientist are fact finders; they are great asset to the world and to the faithful. They keep us thinking and seeing beyond what we want to see.

@Arthur I can't help to ask you How big is your God, if you are so upset over a this blog? lol
Additionally, when reading the Bible keep in mind, the author, the message that is trying to be conveyed and who the author is trying to convey the message to, at the time it was written. Just a tip.

Thanks JoLynn for you insights.

i still believe that there still a higher being watching over us....

@Romel - that's great if you do. I'm certainly not asking anyone to stop believing whatever they like. I just don't want creation taught in my children's schools because we owe are a children facts and I think all religious based entities should be taxed like the rest of us.

*we owe our children facts* sheesh - stupid auto correct!

the volcanoes erupted more than ten times, rivers changed their course many times, and people ways of life changed many times, but nothing from the earth another species that popped up... so if things just come out from nothing, i believe this world is filled up with unknown living things already.

Taking for granted there is no God, I'll make the one who wrote the Bible as God....for without his writings, i cannot imagine what is human beings today!

Interesting Kczar thanks for your comment. Just think of the advances humans could have made if it weren't for the Dark Ages. I think religion has held people back from advancing.
