I think it's been pretty well scientifically established, faith healing is a sham. Test after test has shown faith healing only works in cases where the complaint was non-life threatening and amplified by the brain. Stress induced allergies, heart palpations caused by anxiety and anxiety induced acid reflux have all been relieved in lab environments simply because someone believed someone else was healing them. When in fact, in the tests, the person doing the healing wasn't even a believer and was merely one of the scientists. The people in the study were merely told they were meeting with a well known and powerful faith healer.
