About this Author

Jo Potocki helps pro choice movements.

This article is from God is Imaginary.com and as I was reading it - you can take it two ways, the way the writer intended and also in the way of understanding other people think differently from you and you need to remember compassion and tolerance of others.

I get a lot and I mean A LOT of Christians commenting and writing me that they think their own particular brand of Christianity is the ONLY way.
That's horribly divisive and accomplishing nothing but polarizing people.
Think about it as an intelligent, rational Christian adult.
Who are you to decide who is and isn't a Christian?
Who are you to decide that someone else's belief's aren't equally as strong as yours?
Maybe someone else's sect IS the correct interpretation of the Bible.
Maybe it's all imaginary.
You don't know that for a fact, so stop being so judgmental.

I don't believe in any religion and in fact, my personal opinion that belongs to me is that we'd be a lot more advanced as humans if religion wasn't holding us back.

Awesome thinking...I think the writer would have got a separate room to think of things like this

Thanks Sweetie Friend, I like a lot of what he writes, but I have a slightly different view than he does.

@Roger - thanks for your input. Understand I'm not dismissing anyone - just asking people to notice the religious ideas they automatically reject for whatever reason and maybe through it make some people who are rather closed minded towards others that think differently, find some tolerance by the realizations - there are a LOT of slices of that religion pie out there!

you need to understand true christiabity. it is not a religion, it is a relationship. the more science tries to disprove the christian God, the more science proves Him real. you may believe in your god or gods, but till you know the one true God, you know nothing. you talk about reading about other religions, well i have and they only prove how true my God is. you should try reading the bible, and i mean really read it.

like i said i was raised catholic i turned christian as i got older how i know the god i serve is real; its a feeling like happyness out of no where you just know whats right for you the bible talks many religions will be in heaven he looks at our heart our real motives if christians think its only one religion then its jewish thats the one true religion because jesus as we believe is the son of god was jewish so the bible christians read prove many religions will be in heaven

@Vixen - Godo to hear from you. I am unaware of any science actually going after and trying to disprove God. I've read the bible, many versions for comparison in fact because it is interesting how even the different sects of Christianity interpret the Word.
There's no reason you cannot be a scientist and believe in God, I just don't happen to personally know any scientists that do. Because as your own beliefs are "based on a relationship with God" - it gets down to a feeling, a feeling that is very real for you but it's not a fact to science. If that fact makes your faith stronger - great!

wow honey you've been super busy!!!! I've been great ! If I had to corral that many kids, I think you chose the best time of year. Kids are fun in the summer - it's hard when everyone is cooped up in the winter - at least there's a lot you can do outside :)
