All I can say is I am disappointed how people feel threatening someone is the best way to get through to them. I am a firm believer in lead by example I am not saying I am perfect in any form because I know that I am not. All I am saying is show love. I really don't understand why some may think threatening or showing anger will get through to anyone all that does is put someone on the defense nothing more.

Do you post a lot of controversial things, yes but you listen to everyone's opinions on it.

I'm not saying at some point you will start to believe by any means but at the same time you would be more likely to if everyone would show love verses hate when it comes to these topics, because as I see it right now there are a lot of people out there that continue to prove your points just by the way they are acting by threatening and showing hate verses the Love that God wants us to show each other.....

@Jenny but you know what's cool. You are a believer, you are a Christian - and yet I am proud to call you friend because there are so many ways we can come together as friends and it doesn't matter if I believe and you don't - it's still possible to be good people and good friends :)

Very True JoLynn Very True! Like I said its about showing love!
Its not about what anyone believes it how we treat people that matters.

So to everyone out there ask yourselves, the way you are treating others whether the same beliefs or not are you spreading love or hate? Your answer might surprise yourselves...

In response to the believers - hate begets hate, and evil is to evil, as love is to love.

If anything Jo is a God send, she sets the stage for many conversations such as this one, no doubt many have learned from various comments, ask yourself -what will they learn from yours? Love? Hate?

Nothing can ever be done against the truth, truth is absolute, and individual truth is merely pride. Pride is of the flesh, and the flesh is the enemy of spirit, if you are in fact "in Christ" you cannot speak from the flesh.

@TK - what a great comment (and not just because you called me a God Send LOL). My goal is rational, intelligent discussion. I always say I would MUCH rather have a sassy discussion with a believer than another atheist.
It's so BORING.
There is no god. answer : yeah.
No proof of Jesus. answer: yeah.
Evolution eats Intelligent Desing's lunch. answer : yeah.
Religion holds us back as a people. answer : yeah.

Say the same things to a believer and you get a cool banter going with their beliefs why and believe me, everyone has a different opinion - the end result is basically the same but everyone has different interpretations about what God/Jesus/Bible/Religion is and *that* is interesting and I learn things from people which is very cool.

It's the clowns that have super closed minds and think their little way is the ONLY way and they believe everyone else will burn in hell forever for not believing exactly as they do - that wind up writing me because for lack of a better word, they are ignorant of what their own religion MEANS. They read the words but don't really understand and therefore react in absolute anger.
And it's a shame because if they could actually articulate their feelings without the hatefulness - they would probably have something very cool to contribute.

Am really feel so sad about those people...
They were cursing us ...They were telling that God will punish us...
Had their God taught them to curse others...
If their was a real God , he would have not created Religions that creates so many problems

@Noor my sister is a Muslim and I know what you're saying about thinking too much, but I have nothing but love for both Christians and Muslims. :)

Agree with Noor,Muslim has it worst always!
They will torture you, Its the fact that has a lot to do with ideology and extremism in religion,
nothing comes up more than Muslims.

@Saleh - you know what's ironic? Muslims do write me from time to time because I don't believe in any type of religion and I have yet to get a correspondence that isn't polite and articulate from a Muslim. I had a Muslim woman write me who felt VERY strongly something very bad was going to happen to me for not believing BUT she was so cool about it at the same time - it was really pleasant to correspond with her and find out what was on her mind even though she was clearly VERY upset at what I wrote- she was cool.

Consequently, I get Christians who start arguing with each other about who the real Christian is. Recently on one of my posts, I had one Evangelical yelling that Mormons were fake and a Mormon going on they were the only true Christians because they are the ONLY church with the name of Jesus in their church's name.
Talk about a disintegrated convo ...sheesh.....

How do you know I haven't had a beautiful life? Trust me, it's been pretty darned good by all accounts. I have no complaints.
I don't have a grace period going on - I never was a believer and that shouldn't bother you one bit - no one is taking anything away from you.

@Manu - actually I'd let anyone say whatever they wanted about my Mom. You know why? Because it is an opinion, much like the one I have there is no God, no Jesus and religion is bad for humanity and I believe everyone is entitled to their own .
My disbelief doesn't hurt you and you believing certainly takes nothing away from me.

@Manu - whoa it's more than a little judgmental to say someone's level of knowledge is low don't you think? I'm not attempting to break anyone's anything with whatever they believe, basically my mission is to show the other side to close minded, quick-to-bite types such as yourself, from a non-believer's point of view so you can understand no one is taking anything away from anyone by bringing up the blatant hypocrisy that exists in all religions as a form of control (my opinion).

Do you think Jesus would be very proud of you running around judging and posting people think at a low level, well do you?

@Manu - Actually read your comment above, you may have intended it with a slightly different meaning but as written, it looks pretty judgmental.And I will say you're judging player because you are. You said, "Some fools may agree with you" again judging...who are you to decide who is a fool? If someone is new in Christ and they reject the teaching because of what I am posting, I say fantastic because they are looking at both sides and making a decision to not blindly follow. Understand though, that is not my goal. I am merely sharing my thoughts as you others share theirs.Oh cool, you're not condemning or threatening me... you're having God do it. for you -..sheesh....

Google it and yes, by most of the world, Christianity is considered a religion - weirdly enough the majority of Christians I hear from define religion as man talking to God, however they define Christianity as God talking to man.
Which defies logic to me, but then again no one ever claimed to me there was actual logic in religion.

@Matthew - My sister's husband ran off with that dude that created Heaven's Gate (Marshall Applewhite) when he had a previous cult. He went by Bo and his female partner went by "Peep". What a nut.

Just respect each other religion... No one can save you but yourself it does not matter what religion you belong too. It's your faith that counts...
