This makes me think a little bit of "Jews for Jesus" but have you heard about "Chrislam"?

It's the blending of Christianity and Islam. Rick Warren appears to be a huge proponent of Chrislam.

Presbyterian Church in Houston along with Christian communities in Atlanta, Seattle, and Detroit will initiate a series of sermons that have been designed to produce an ecumenical reconciliation between Christianity and Islam.

In addition to the sermons, the Sunday school lessons will center on the inspired teachings of the Prophet Mohammad.

Qurans will be placed in the pews next to the Bibles.

@Pat - thanks! It will be interesting to see what you think - I am actually still reading about it.

It's too bad Islamists had to knock down the World Trade Center Towers in New York City, plus demolish a portion of the Pentagon outside Washington, D.C. to get the world's attention. But then extreme religious fanatics, whether Christian or Islamic, have done some very violent acts over the history of mankind, making the good religious people look bad or at least making them feel bad. Nothing good ever comes from violence or war. The world knew about Islam before the 911 acts. All that did was tell the world about Al Qaeda, not Islam. It was a stage for Bin Laden's personal vendetta against the U.S. government. In the end, he got what he deserved. Crime does not pay! That's my take on it.
As for Chrislam, any time people can work together for peace and for God, it is a good thing. It's just too bad a relatively small group of extremists such as Al Qaeda and other terrorist groups exist.

Two religion cannot be mix since they have different teachings and beliefs

@Rahel - they have a lot of similarities as well. Personally I don't see it working because that little "Jesus is the Son of God" and "Jesus is a prophet sent by God and not divine" not really working out for assimilation in the future.
