Jesus murdered playmates and women can't get into heaven? There were also a number of Gospels that were left out of the Bible for various reasons, such as they were written at indistinguishable times or simply because they didn't match up with the Gospels that the compilers of the Bible wanted the gospels to say.  Some of the "missing" gospels are quite interesting, here is a little information of some of the other Gospels.

Forbidden Gospel says Women Can't Get Into Heaven
The Gospel of Thomas

This is one of my favorite of the forbidden gospels.  It deals quite a bit about

@ali the info above came from "The Complete Gospels" edited by Robert J. Miller. It is very interesting reading to say the least.

sorry, but you’ll have to wait until Jesus comes back.

Morning Jolynn, Now I read everything that you post with my eyes wide open, but this I have to say I am taking with a grain of salt. But one thing it does prove is Jesus was a real person. I find some of this very funny and some of it very distasteful. Have a great day and see you soon in blog city. :)

Morning sunshine! All of that is from "The Complete Gospels" edited by Robert J. Miller. It's a really interesting book. You can probably see a lot of it online at Amazon using the "peek inside feature".

I think it's interesting people find it hard to believe some books were left out of the Bible, Google "Eusebius+deception" sometime.

@Vixen Phuxalot - I can't quit laughing at your screen name long enough to ask anyone anything!

@Alex - I don't have to be a Christian to believe in love, good deeds, the power of positive thinking and helping others. No apologizes necessary.

@Colin - good point. Personally, I can't come up with one single point in the Old Testament that can be proven as accurate.

It has often been said that the bible was written by men that were guided by the Holy Spirit. If this were the case...Why would this information be left out? So much for that theory. Very Interesting post JoLynne.

Now more than likely someone going to come along upon seeing my comment and they'll tell me I am going straight to hades for that comment etc.. Or they'll accuse me of being an Atheist lol , Which I am not...lol I just have an inquiring mind of sorts.

Another really awesome post!

@Michael - There's nothing wrong with having an inquiring mind. Google "Eusebius". He oversaw the compilation of the Bible everyone reads today and he left a lot of books out because they were considered heretical (like this one), didn't fit in, weren't originally from Hebrew (the book of Susanna). He was quoted as to the reasons : "We shall introduce into this history in general only those events which may be useful first to ourselves and afterwards to posterity." – Eusebius, Ecclesiastical History, Vol. 8, chapter 2. There was a lot of political gain and power staked in the bible and the ability of it to control people through fear of pissing off God.
