"Maybe the president that doesn't believe in heaven, would not so easily send out troops to get killed".-Bill Maher

I personally don't think religion has any place in the Whitehouse and it certainly has no place as a deciding factor for State and World decisions. I think a President that would base any decision and ANYTHING other than fact (and I don't feel a "feeling about what God wants a person to do is a fact) is just bad judgment. Now,

Jesus Christ Paul, you sound like such a douche bag, you Larry the Cable Guy looking motherf..... What she's saying, and maybe we outta be talkin to your sister/wife about this... is that the government and religion are separate entities... Ever hear the term "separation of church and state" or something similar? Well get your finger out of your sister/wife and use it to pick up a copy of the Constitution, assuming they have paper other than toilet paper out there in the hills. Now even though that phrase doesn't appear in that document, what does appear in the 1st Amendment is "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof." So what that's saying, and again let me help you out here since you obviously have a comprehension problem, is that you can worship whatever you want, even if you don't want to worship anything. So if we don't have to worship anything, why would the government force it upon us? Why would we have to tolerate "In god we trust" on our money? Why would we have to pay for the Secret Service detail for a President to go to church. For that matter, why should we waste the money on ink to print "In god we trust" on our money?

So why waste government money on an entity that doesn't exist? Christ there are hundreds of religions on the planet and they can't agree on anything. Which one is right? How many different versions of Christianity are there? It's funny how Christians praise God when something good happens yet don't blame him when it does. So Paul what proof do you have that this God exists? Please don't refer to your brother/father. What proof do you have that have that having religion as part of our government, which it clearly is no matter what anyone say, is actually better for we the people? How is having your religion as part of our government better for those of us who don't believe in fairy tales and 2000 year old stories guarded by the same people that brought you holy pedophilia and the Inquisition?

@Big Paul - I am so glad you can spell 3-letter words correctly but the other word is spelled "d-u-m-b". Crack open a history book and you'll see that "In God We Trust" wasn't even added to the paper money until 1957 in response to McCarthy and the Cold War.

@Smartest Angel - to the point brother!

O, well, Angel, of course that God exists, you know, for example, so many miracles...for example, you know, in Lourdes, and how the sun became bigger after one of the Apparitions of the Holy Virgin at Fatima, like it happened...in our?country, at Seuca, too.
Interesting post. Well, God is Bridregroom of all creatures, of course. But you know that Jesus has not really been married to three women, or so, like I have seen in the movie, and Mary Magdalene was not his wife. A lady told me that there was no Da Vinci code, in fact, the person sitting near Jesus was not Mary Magdalene, it was Saint John, who was long-haired because he was a virgin boy.
And you know that I have red in a newspaper, it was a false documentary made by a Jew who has been raised in Romania, of course, Jews are good, faithfull people, but, being in Romania...you can expect sometimes like some kind of jockes, I don't know, or something like that, sometimes, maybe. You know, those who made the movie were imprisoned for that, you know, for doing a false documentary.
And you know, they maybe don't know exactly, Mormons, about the Mistery of the Trinity, you know, three Persons, yet, One God.
In messages"J.N.S.R.", "Jesus, Our Saviour, Returns", "Jesus of Nazareth, Lord and King", "I am nothing"-the messenger J.N.S.R. said that, and Jesus told her to call herself this way, "Je ne suis rien", "I am nothing", Jesus said that there is life on other planets too.
He has also said that the Holy Virgin Mary is Immaculately Conceived, from the Holy Spirit, and only She can give birth to this torned humanity again.
The Holy Virgin Mary also told us to get prepared to receive Jesus, like She did.

I'm really trying to keep on point here about the government and religion.

If you believe in an immaculate conception, I have some land in Arizona to sell you but you gotta buy it right now. It might be on fire, but you can still buy it. So immaculate conception... Were you there to check her hymen? If you believe they immaculately conceived in those days, you're out of your gourd. Isn't the first test tube baby 30 or something? If they could put a man on the moon, cars on the road, and planes in the air, yet it took another century after all those things to conceive a child outside the womb, come on... The idea of immaculate conception is silly. The only way it could have happen is if someone would have busted a nut and it somehow found it's way up. That's possible, but really touching someone's nose or however the story goes and poof! Silly, silly, silly.

@Simon actually the definition of a cult versus a religion is merely size and the Mormon belief system qualifies as an actual religion under that definition. Personally, I don't believe in ANY religion - in my view - Joseph Smith getting golden tablets and special stones to translate these special other biblical books from angel which then took them away is as likely to have happened as any of the stories of Jesus, of that Mohammed prayed for 6 days in a cave and rode a flying horse to heaven.
To be, they are all allegory and certainly nothing I'd base my own life on.

I was just flipping around the channels and caught a quick blurb that Matt Drudge ran a poll and Mitt Romney would win if we elected a Pres today... our political system is so broken if that's true.
